Outheback Long boards

Outheback long boards are perfect for beginners through to experts. Their long and thick frame creates maximum stability. Our Mal's or mini Mal's are often greatly appreciated by experienced riders who cherish its smooth gliding abilities and great ride.

Outheback Short boards

Outheback short boards are made for riding in a faster more aggressive style of surfing. Our short boards are  shorter, thinner more performance orientated boards, that are higher in volume for better flotation resulting in easier paddling, with less effort  required to catch the wave, and although they make for a harder time maintaining stability on the waves, they offer enormous speed and manoeuvrability for intermediate to advanced riders.  

Outheback Knee Boards

Outheback knee boards are for  surfing performed on your knees. With knee boarding you can wear flippers which helps to get out in the surf and catch waves easer. It is also a lot more stable than stand up surfing and you have less distance to get up on your board, so you will be riding waves sooner. Outheback Knee boards are made with an XComb (honey comb) cloth which is even stronger and more ding resistant, resulting in few knee indentations. 

Outheback Epoxy-vinyl Kite Surfboards

Kite surfing and kite boarding, uses a kite and wind power to pull a rider through the water on a smaller high performance shaped board. Generally kite boarding refers to free styling in flatter conditions and kite surfing is more wave riding oriented. These two styles usually require different shaped boards. Outheback Kite surfboards are hand shaped with a timber stringer for strength but still retain some flexibility to aid in performance, manoeuvrability and speed on the wave. PVC rigid foam is glassed in under the foot strap areas making the board less susceptible to heel indentations from repeated heavy use. The boards are fitted with a long set of twin nylon inserts for easy reliable footstrap plugs, that can be set parallel or on the angle, in a wide or narrow stance.

Outheback Stand Up Paddle Boards

Outheback stand up paddle boards allow yet another dynamic to surfing. Standing on the board, using a paddle to provide forward  momentum and help offer control and stability while surfing the wave. These boards are great fun whether surfing or paddling in flat water, as well as being a terrific workout.

The outheback body board is much shorter than a surfboard and made a EPS foam 'core' encapsulated by a flexible epoxy or slick bottom and a softer foam deck. Outheback body boards provide the perfect way for the novice or beginners introduction into the world of surfing, or more performance boards for the hardcore initiated.

outheback nipper boards are sturdy craft made to suit Nippers ages 11 to 14 years. Nipper Boards can be individually customised to suit club colours. and include 2 sets of handles.

Outheback skim boards are used to skim along the top of the thin layer of water from a receding wave or on the thicker water in front of the wave. Skim boarding  has recently evolved into a highly competitive sport and outheback supplies skim boards for all skill levels.
